Some updates

Monday's progress on Basket of Apples and the basket is finished apart from the back stitch

Feb's ornament, 2006 Snowman by Ursula Micheal Designs from 2006 JCS ornament issue stitched on 14 count aida and it's for Caleb.

Because I finished the ornament Thursday morning I had the rest of the day to work on something else so I pulled out CdC.  I'd almost got the circle complete when I discovered I was out by one stitch so had to frog the entire thing.

And last weekend I worked on my beaded CdC

So far this week I haven't worked on my UFO which is unusual for me so I'm planning on putting that right in the morning before I pick Celtic Banner up.

Celtic Banner update

My progress from this weekends stitching.

I'm starting to think I'll be done around Easter but you never know it could be earlier which would be nice

Updates

I'm starting to feel better and don't feel like I'm going to fall over all the time now which is good and it means I've been able to stitch a little more.

Last week's mid-week project was Sunflower and I'm quite pleased with my progress

And of course I spent Friday with Mary Wigham.
I finished off the blue motif at the bottom and started on the white one next to it but you can't see it in the pic

Look hard and you can just spot the bit of white to the right of the blue motif

Sweet Feet Exchange

Needlecraft Haven ran a Sweet Feet Exchange for Valentine's Day and my package arrived a few days and sat there tempting me to open it but I resisted.
When I did open it this morning I was greeted with this

Which unwrapped to reveal this

Love the socks Claire they are really comfy and soft but I'm going to have to keep a close eye on them when Mel gets home as she loves Me to You

Drazil and Dory

We have a couple of new reptiles come to live with us today, Leopard Lizards.
They are almost fully grown so won't really get any bigger than they are now and because we have one of each flavour there could well be babies in the future!

Wooo Hooooo

My completed UFO arrived home this morning, last time I saw it it looked like this
I'm so happy to have it finished at last and crossed off the list.

Of course it also means a new UFO is needed for the RR so I sent this one out, it's for Mel and she knows she'll get it quicker this way :)

And just so you don't all ask what it's going to look like finished

Weekend Stitching

Saturday morning I started with the weekend stitching plan and first up is Celtic Banner which I really am going to finish this year.  I last worked on it in August last year and for some reason never managed to pick it up again :(
I thought it was about time I shared a pic of complete progress so far so before I put it on the Q snaps I took one.

I finished off one band, completed one band, started 2 others and did a bit of border.

Sharon asked how I was going to store the beads I bought on Thursday well the big bag of black is in the tub I've got my beaded CdC in, the smaller bags will end up in flip top boxes (this post shows how I store them) and the one's for Bell's will be left in their bags in a really useful box

TUSAL & stash

Here's this month's TUSAL pic and it's grown quite a bit since last month :)
There are orts in there from Basket of Apples, Joyful Summer, Mary Wigham, UFO RR, Celtic Griffin, January's Cool Crowd, Caleb's Birth Sampler, Sunflower, The Birds and Bees, a few different colours of KO thread, some normal sewing cotton and off course loads from the project from hell.
That band of lilac is the #12 perle from the lace bookmark I finished earlier in the month.

The stash part is millions of beads :)
I've been down to Spellbound today to meet friends and go for lunch.

More black ad gold for my beaded CdC followed me home as did a few colours needed to fill gaps in my collection and 4 lots of 6mm beads for bells

January progress & February goals

For January I said
UFO RR  Done and posted along with a new one of mine
Not have to many GFJ starts  I had 4 in total but finished one of them
Stitch an ornament  Nope because of that project

For February I'd like to
UFO RR
Stitch 2 ornaments

I stitched for a total of 108 hours 14 mins last month, had 4 new starts and 1 finish and I stitched every day.

If you've been reading for a while you'll know I stitch on a rotation and although I'm still going to do that I'm going to try something different in view of wanting to finish lots of PHD's this year.  With Monday being TW day and Friday my day to SAL with Pat I've decided to spend Tuesday (after I've done my hour on a UFO), Wednesday and Thursday working on whatever is next up or calls to me most. And I'm going to spend my weekend's working on something I want to get finished this year until it's done but if I find that for whatever reason I'm not enjoying that project for a couple of weekends running then I'm allowed to switch to something else.
